The cost of replacement was included in the in the last renovation contribution and the deteriorating state of our railings was signalled in an earlier blog on 14th April 2022.
Two years later, owners (Connie is a VOC member), justifiably reminded the Hillgrove Chairman on site. They know that the Chairman and the VOC are blameless.

The problem is that CM, through our estate management failed to ensure that the maintenance free, government standard railings, were not ordered and an inferior railing was delivered and paid for.
We are at an impasse, because CM is asking the VOC to accept the railings that have been delivered, which is not going to happen.
The current plan is for CM to give owners a chance to choose between [A] paying again for the government standard railings or [B] installing that which is already stored at Hillgrove.
