Your elected Village Owners Committee [VOC] members have long sensed that their effectiveness as your representatives is limited by insufficient communications. with ALL owners.

The committee has worked diligently, in paticular on the renovation, but could have been even more effective with the support of a properly informed community of both resident and absentee owners.

The annual Owners’ Meeting, “AGM” , has, in the past, provided a minimal two-way channel of communication, but after a failed Meeting due to being a handful of owners short of a quorum, and Covid restrictions the VOC looks forward to this website as means of communication which promises benefits now and for the future.

Many readers will have their names on the QUORUM LIST. The 63 letters issued since 2014, when most of the current VOC members were first elected, have been well received by owners, however, this only reached the 30% of owners on the list, which left 70% of owners completely out of touch with important developments so most absentee owners are not on the list, and must be lacking information concerning their property, (both good or bad).

The QUORUM LIST messages can still continue but they will be edited on the website and a link to it will be sent by email to the LIST.

I am hoping to introduce www.hillgrovevillage.com to ALL owners by means of a 100% direct mailing at the time of the next VILLAGE OWNERS MEETING, which is likely to be around the end of April 2023

Our website already provides a more convenient access to current and past VOC and COC Meeting Minutes and the important documents such as the of Mutual Covenant [“DMC”] that bind the responsibilities of the apartment Owners, the Developer, and the Management company.

I hope you will take a few minutes to explore this website. There is much still to be added as a permanent reference for future owners and especially for future waves of Village Owner Committee members wishing to become quickly appraised of important past decisions and current affairs.
